Director of Events and Promotions

Global Adrenaline, one of Chicago’s most reputable and experienced event marketing firms, coordinates and promotes over 250 Chicago-area events per year and executes non-traditional marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, seeks a Director of Events & Promotions.

This person would be directly responsible for driving sales and showing increased yearly growth, while assisting in the development of the company’s new national events and celebrity booking agency divisions.

Candidates need to demonstrate solid strategic thinking, work effectively with other departments, and possess dynamic creativity that ensures efficiencies and effectiveness. NIGHTLIFE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE A MUST!

Requirements

  • Develop and maintain positive on-going relationships with key bar/club/nightlife accounts, while acting as a primary point-of-contact for multiple client contacts.
  • Manage full-time and part-time staff.
  • Work closely with the company’s creative department and clients to develop ideas and planning strategies.
  • Create and cultivate productive partnerships and strategic alliances, while networking inside and outside company events.
  • Event conceptualization and implementation (source talent, promotion, etc).
  • Manage and implement online and offline marketing and promotions for company events.
  • Maintain vast knowledge of clients' business, competition, latest industry news, and trends.
  • Perform analysis of internal costs, incurred costs, budgets, estimates, schedules and other financial information.
  • Professional, impeccable appearance maintained by self and staff.

Qualifications

  • Marketing degree preferred.
  • Nightlife industry relationships preferred (corporate, music, media, charity organizations, beer/liquor).
  • Project management experience and focus on thinking tactically.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and activities to meet timeline and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Strong software competencies (Excel, Word, Internet).
  • Familiar with the Chicago nightlife industry and comfortable working in that environment.

This is a FULL TIME position (day and evenings – including office hours) that pays salary plus bonuses. Base salary ranges from $30,000 - $40,000 and will be determined by experience. Earning potential is $50,000+ the first year.

Promoters/Hosts

Public relations girls/guys and dancers are wanted for promoting the name of Global Adrenaline around the Chicagoland area and in major cities throughout the Midwest. Must be an outgoing party animal available for weekday and/or weekend nights, who loves meeting, greeting & leading people to all our fabulous events.

Promotions Assistant Intern

Global Adrenaline, one of Chicago’s most reputable and experienced event marketing firms, coordinates and promotes over 250 Chicago-area events per year and executes non-traditional marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, seeks a Promotions Assistant Intern.

Responsibilities include aiding in event planning, on-site promotions, creative brainstorming, assisting in PR efforts, and general marketing and online marketing support for Global Adrenaline and our affiliates.

The ideal candidate should posses a knowledge of Chicago and its social scene, have well developed communication and writing skills, and work well on a team.

This position requires a 15-20 hour per week commitment for at least three months. Internships are unpaid; however, college credit is given when available. This fast growing organization may offer advancement opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Some college education.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel proficient.
  • Strong Internet/computer skills.
  • Marketing and promotions experience.
